My friend Carolface came over today. It was fun. She is so upbeat and makes me laugh so hard. She took me on a walk (lol) that was supposed to last the prescribed 20 minutes. But, we were chatting and laughing, and all of a sudden we noticed it had been a half hour! I am slow, but I felt great! I was also able to totally cream her at the new card game she taught me called Two Handed Spades. :)
Then my friend Amandapants came over. It is so nice to sit and chat. I am really chatty, and nobody gets a word in, I think. We caught up a bit and it was great to see her.
Then my friend Christina (I can't really think of what hooks to Christina) came over and brought a HUGE dinner complete with lasagna, salad, garlic bread, and brownies! Oh my goodness! It is all in the oven now, and it smells so good. We are sooooo thankful to everyone who has signed up at work to bring dinners. It is unbelievable and too much! The fact that Brian can come home and not worry about cooking is such a special gift. I thank you all forever.
This has been a great day. I washed some dishes and emptied the little trash can in my room. (I know that doesn't seem blog-worthy, but it is a big deal for me to be able to do stuff for myself.)
I know I still have a long way to go, but today I really started to see that I will be able to get there.

Well, it was definitely the HIGHLIGHT of my day! I needed to see for myself that you were alright! You looked awesome and it was crazy to see you just sitting there like it was some day off. Other than you showing off your fancy brace...one would never know you had major surgery. Can't wait until the next time I can come visit!!
